Child finds wet porn behind stadium

Theft 10/6/03 10:10 a.m.

An officer was dispatched to Billingsly Student Center in reference to a theft.

It was reported that Koinonia had set up its Homecoming display at 10 p.m. the previous night. At 9 a.m., three plywood bulldogs and a lion were missing from the display.

The missing pieces were made of plywood. No suspects were named.

Drug Law Violation 10/6/03 8:45 a.m.

Security was called to Blaine Hall. An SA had smelled marijuana in the hallway. Upon investigation into a room, he found a marijuana roach in a make-shift ashtray.

The Joplin Police Department was called to the scene, where they confiscated the roach. A pipe was also found at the scene.

The suspect was placed in the custody of JPD.

Found Items 10/2/03 8:10 p.m.

An officer was notified that a child had found some "very graphic" pornographic material buried in a sand pile south of the stadium.

Upon arrival, security observed two adult magazines, Celebrity Skin and Hometown Girls, buried in the sand.

The magazines were wet and appeared to have been there for some time.

Harassment 10/1/03 11:12 p.m.

Security was called to the art department in reference to a possible problem with an ex-boyfriend.

A student reported that her ex-boyfriend had threatened to come to campus and "make a scene" because he wanted the money from his Social Security check.

The subject was seen driving by in a brown pickup, but he did not stop.
