With the recent construction of the nearly finished Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity house, members feel as though the renovations are limiting the publicity that the house usually gets this time of year.

"Some people do know that we live here, but it's pretty much just by word of mouth," Eric Jones, vice president of Sigma Tau finances, said.

Drury welcomes freshmen class

The end of Freshmen Orientation marked the beginning of a new school year last week. The only problem: freshmen seemed scarce on Drury's campus.

While specific numbers have not been calculated for this year's freshmen class, and will not be complete until the census date in late September, university admissions representatives estimate that there are roughly 450 new faces on Drury's campus, faces that include incoming freshmen as well as transfers from other schools.

Credit card use costing students

For students paying with credit cards, attending Drury University just became slightly more expensive.

Beginning in July, a 3 percent fee is now being charged to all students who choose to pay their tuition and fees with a credit card.

The change materialized in response to the rising trend among college students to pay their college bills by credit card.
