David Pearce,(R-Warrensburg), hopes HCR 7 will "encourage students and faculty at Missouri's higher education institutions to participate in international education programs, including foreign language instruction and study abroad.

Jane Cunningham (R-Chesterfield), looks to eliminate bias by mandating education on politically, religiously and ideologically diverse topics and requires public universities to file annual reports on student complaints.

Currently, the crime of first-degree statutory rape is defined as "having sexual intercourse with another person who is less than 14 years old.
