We have reached the mid point in the semester. Most hate that because midterms are taking place or have already taken place.

But, fear not weary class-goers – spring break is right around the corner.

Most of us here at The Chart are looking forward to a break. Many do not realize what goes into putting this paper together each week, and all involved will enjoy a hiatus.

Some of our staff will be staying here in the Joplin area. Others will be heading across the Atlantic to visit places such as Paris, London and Normandy. But for those of you who would like to still have new content, we have a plan.

Over the break where we will not have a print paper, we will update our social media and website with editorials and items written by our staff. Much like we did back at Thanksgiving, this will give our writers an opportunity to express opinions without a formal “deadline.”

Also be on the lookout on our social media for photos, as some of us visit Europe. Many of us are especially excited to visit Normandy, given the historical significance.

No matter where you go and what you do for spring break: be safe, get some rest and rejuvenate yourself.

]Remember, there are only a few weeks left of the semester and for many, graduation is a mere 60 or so days away.
