Thatcherism and family drama will hit the stage Sept. 15 when the Missouri Southern Theatre Department. presents The Secret Rapture in the Bud Walton Theatre.

Written by David Hare and directed by Tim Klein, associate professor of theatre, the play revolves around estranged sisters Isobel and Marion, who together must determine what to do about their alcoholic, mentally unstable step-mother Katherine following the death of their father.

The play stars theatre majors Erica Zeyn, Mollie Sanders, Sean Botts and Cameron Lopez, as well as theatre and music major Valerie Stockton and communication major Samantha Green.

Ticket prices for the production, which will run Sept. 15 – 19, are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and area students. Admission for Southern staff and students is free.

Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reservations can also be made by calling the Missouri Southern Ticket Office at 417-625-3190.
